On this episode…
Thermography is a is an incredible non-invasive way to see what’s going on in the body with digital infrared thermal imaging. Dr. April Goebel is a chiropractor and a thermographer that I personally have been seeing for over 10 years. I find this preventive care to be invaluable. By having a fingerprint of your breast (or the body part you are targeting) allows you to see the physiologic changes early on that might not be detectable mammographically. Dr. Goebel talks about its benefits, how it can work in tandem with other methods as well as the benefits of chiropractic care.

About April…
Dr. Goebel is a Southern California native and grew up in the South Bay. She graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College Los Angeles in 2003. She has numerous certifications in functional nutrition, hormone balancing, hypnotherapy, Webster technique for pregnant patients, and is also a certified medical thermographer,
About twelve years ago she was introduced to thermal imaging and was wowed by the technology. She quickly researched cameras and training and set her sights on adding medical thermal imaging to her practice. The ultra-sensitive digital infrared camera allows early detection and monitoring of many diseases and pain syndromes by scanning the thermal patterns emitted by the surface of the skin. SInce it is a test of physiology it reveals information not provided by other tests of a structural nature like, ultrasound, MRI, Mammography, and others. SInce the equipment is lightweight she can also visit other practitioners offices and provide services at their locations.
Why has she chosen Chiropractic? Dr. April was attracted to Chiropractic as she has a helping nature and takes a hands-on approach to most everything. She loves to help better other people’s lives and Chiropractic allows her to do that. She enjoys adjusting the whole family so that everyone is healthy and has less stress. “How great to be able to help families in this way!”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. G loves her vegetables especially if they come from her own garden. When she wants a comforting snack, she is going to pop some popcorn and add avocado oil, salt, and probably a little pepper. “If you’re going to do it you may as well do it right.” She likes to make natural remedies from essential oils in her spare time and if you think you have seen the doctor somewhere before it could be on TV. She has worked in front of the camera and a favorite gig is as a precision driver for television and the big screen. She says, “I love to drive, and I don’t scare easily.” Once she flew over the South Bay and the coast in a light sport plane and said, “It was exciting!”
