Tiffany Paige of Green With Tiffany speaks to founder Taciana de Aguiar of Eco Cork at the Green Festival in Los Angeles, California.
These beautiful products were discovered in Portugal where Taciana, a native of Portugal, thought they should be brought to the states. She was right 🙂
There was a myth started about the shortage of cork and cork trees when it came to bottling wine. It was created so that cheaper plastic “cork like” tops and screw tops would be used instead.
Eco Cork is a vegan alternative to leather. If you don’t want to do vinyl, plastic or canvas Eco Cork is the way to go. It’s comparable to leather, but it’s lighter weight, durable and also really easy to clean with a brush dipped in soap and water and a light scrub. My favorite is the evening clutch.
Eco Cork is sustainably harvested in Portugal. They make handbags, accessories and other products all made of cork, eco friendly and cruelty-free.
