I was very excited about Green With Tiffany being on the “green” carpet at the Environmental Media Awards. I was even more excited to get an exclusive interview with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The EMAs (as it’s called) is hosted by the Environmental Media Association. This non-profit honors the entertainment industry’s environmental efforts of raising awareness through film, TV & music. It is one of my most favorite events.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, an executive producer (along with James Cameron and Jerry Weintraub) and correspondent on Showtime’s “Years Of Living Dangerously,” received the EMA for Outstanding Achievement For Environmental Content for the series. This groundbreaking nine-part documentary series explores the human impacts of climate change on Americans and others around the world. Arnold talks to us about the importance of the show, the media and climate change. The Years Of Living Dangerously is to make people aware of the problems we have and how they can participate to make a difference. To make people feel that they can be part of the solution rather than faulting them for being part of the problem.

“We want to make people aware that climate change and pollution cause seven million premature deaths annually,” says Arnold. “I think we can do much better than that.”

I do too
