Dr Lily Chen

On this episode…

Dr Lily Chen shares her dream come true of having a new vision for the practice she created, as well as the incredible team of women that she’s put together. This includes Dr. Gabby, who I’m so grateful for. She was hands on with my Chihuahua Lilli’s daily care and treatment almost everyday for three months.

We talk about customized care, the different kinds of therapies that are not conventionally available like Ozone Therapy, Vitamin C IV Therapy, and Microbiome Testing, to name a few. Their motto is “Heart Centered Veterinary Care with a Unicorn Spirit”, and in my experience this has been so true.

I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Lily (as she’s called) and her team, to treat Lilli in person, here in the extended Los Angeles area. This is a new kind of vet med experience that I hope is growing. One with kindness, compassion and those that #CHOOSETOCARE.

About Lily…

Dr. Chen followed her passion and obtained her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then went on to the world-renowned University of California, Davis, to finish her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, graduating in 2007. Dr. Chen completed an internship at an emergency and specialty animal hospital, and she has been in general practice caring for dogs and cats ever since. She practiced for many years in the West Hollywood area before moving to the Palos Verdes Peninsula with her family.

Dr. Chen completed additional training and became a certified veterinary acupuncturist in 2013. Amazed by the miraculous results in many of her patients in response to acupuncture, she continued her training in veterinary food therapy and veterinary Chinese herbal therapy. In more than a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Chen has found that traditional Chinese medicine compliments and balances conventional medicine. Many chronic conditions and diseases can be successfully treated and managed with a more gentle and holistic approach. Treating the body as a whole promotes natural healing and better health.
