US Congress Candidate Ted Lieu Attends the Heal The Bay Gala

Senator Ted Lieu joins Heal The Bay for their annual “Bring Back The Beach” Gala. Tiffany Paige of Heal The Bay TV & Green With Tiffany chats with Ted about the SB1066 bill he authored, to give $3 million in grant funding for climate change projects. Climate change will have serious impacts on California’s coast, including sea level rise, beach and bluff erosion, and salt water erosion.

The bill allows the California Coastal Conservancy help fund organizations like Heal The Bay and communities like Hermosa Beach and Los Angeles to engage in projects that address climate change impacts to coastal resources and urban waterfronts, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, preserving and enhancing coastal wetlands and natural lands, and reducing hazards to harbors and ports.
Ted Lieu is running for US Congress.
