Mercedes Benz has a test pilot program for their F-Cell, hydrogen powered EV with zero emissions. Tiffany Paige of Green With Tiffany caught up with Tyler Brown of Mercedes Benz. There are 70 vehicles on the road as part of the program on a 2 or 3 year lease. The F-Cell is a fully electric vehicle that uses compressed hydrogen to generate the electricity that the vehicle uses.
Currently there are a small, but growing network of filling stations for fuel cell vehicles. The refueling experience is just like at a regular gas station and takes less than 10 minutes.
